I thought I had better check in before the NFR gets underway. This past weekend we had our circuit finals in Norco, Calif. My traveling partner Billy Bugenig won the average and punched his ticket to the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo and I am happy to report that I won the year-end title so I will be able to go back and try to defend my title.

The Circuit Finals were a good warm-up for me as I prepare to defend my title in Las Vegas. This week will be spent in the practice pen. Jake Rinehart is already at my house and Blake Knowles will be heading down this week to practice with us. Jason Miller is going to haze for me at the Finals so it will be good to have him there. Curtis and I will be riding Willie and I have Gunner as a backup.

We will be home for Thanksgiving so we will probably practice in the morning and then have a nice Thanksgiving meal and then just be lazy the rest of the day. It will be our one day to take it easy before heading to fabulous Las Vegas.

I think Cade is ready for Las Vegas but not sure that Lindsay and I are going to be ready to run after him. He was at the Circuit Finals this weekend running around like a wild man. He always has a good time anyway.
